Your first osteopathy consultation will involve a discussion about your symptoms, questions about your medical history and a complete musculoskeletal examination.
Following a complete examination, your practitioner will discuss your diagnosis and treatment plan with you. In most cases, treatment is included. However, in some more complex cases you may be referred for further tests and investigations as your safety is our priority. Please allow 60 minutes for the consultation.
It may be beneficial to have regular osteopathy treatment for some conditions, treatment sessions last approximately 30 minutes. Treatment may involve hands on osteopathy in addition to nutritional, exercise, and lifestyle advice.
During the examination you will be asked to undress down to your underclothes, this is to allow the osteopath to accurately examine important structures of the body such as the spine. You may wish to wear gym shorts if you feel more comfortable.
We are happy to accept patients with private health insurance including: Axa, Aviva, Vitality, WPA, and Cigna.
Please contact your health insurance company before treatment as some may require you to have a GP referral before commencing treatment.
Clinic Policy: Cancellations with less than 24hrs notice will be billed 50% of the full treatment price
